Porsche 911 3.2 Cabriolet

Porsche 911 Cabriolet. This car belongs to one of our regular customers he has now decided that over the winter is a good time to have all the rust issues dealt with unfortunately these cars do suffer from little bits of rust forming on the bodywork between the bumper to body mouldings. Also the B pillars do tend to get a build up of mud between the kidney bowl and the sill area, this tends to sit in there and eventually rust through from behind. Most of these areas you have to cut out and weld in new metal. We will be putting up more photos of this body restoration over the next couple of weeks.

We have now covered the car with a black powder this acts as a guide coat and shows up any imperfections on the primers surface. once flatted off it ensures us that we have got the perfect base for the base coat of paint. once the car has been degreased we are now ready for colour.

If you go into our video page we have a walk around video of the car.

The car is now finally painted we will leave this now stand for a couple of days to go really hard. once hardened off we will flat it down and then polish, refit doors, bonnet, bumpers etc. The next stage is to remove front suspension strip down and rebuild. Hopefully in there next couple of weeks we will add more photos of the finished car. Hope you’ve enjoyed the process so far.
